Students of the Higher Diploma in Food Health and Business Management programme visited Calbee Hong Kong Factory in Tseung Kwan O on 3 Nov 2014. The staff of the guided tour introduced the production process of potato chips and other snacks to our students. Students visited the storage area of fresh potatoes, the production line and the modern packaging machine in the factory. By visiting the food plant, students could observe the application of the quality control techniques they have learnt in lectures. They also had a chance to conduct a food tasting of the freshly-made potato chips. It was a memorable experience for them.
